Its mission is to break medical and educational barriers in rural areas of Guyana, South America, by providing healthcare, technology education, and basic infrastructure to underserved communities.

The foundation was founded by Roxanne Hermanstyne, inspired by a personal experience when her aunt was diagnosed with cancer in Guyana. Witnessing the difficulties in accessing medical resources in underserved regions, she committed to bridging that gap for communities across Guyana and the wider Caribbean.

The foundation conducts annual week-long medical mission trips to remote villages and rural communities in Guyana. Volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals provide primary care, maternal and child health care, and community health education — all at no cost to patients.
